Mass wedding of South Korean reverend´s sect for the first time in Bratislava

Saturdays evening „love festival" in Bratislava „Pasienky" Sports Hall went along quite peacefully even though there was a group of young Slovaks who wanted to dissuade the guests from the visit of „Moon’s sect". The event was not disturbed even by the telephone, which the editor’s office of our newspaper received 15 minutes before its beginning. Anonymous man voice asked the editor to call Police attention that „the bomb will explode together with Moonies" in the Pasienky Sports hall. Few minutes before 5pm police was ransacking known Hall, however organisers did not announce anything to audience, because, as they were assuring, the hall was guarded from Friday.

Member of FFWP Ing. Milos Klas claimed to the journalists that this civil society is independent from Unification church established by South Korean reverend Moon. But the course of mass wedding not only in Bratislava, but also in another 12 world cities connected through satellite to Madison Square Garden in New York clearly reminded us similar „crowd scenes" organised on the different stadiums in the world under the directing hand of modern „Messiah" Sun Myung Moon. Members of different religions addressed the participants from the screen and reverend Moon himself also gave his blessing to them. In that time we could hear the calls of New York participants: „Messiah". Reverend had his oriental deputy in Pasienky hall, who was doing exactly same movements and like this he was passing Moon’s appeal to present guests. 250 couples from different countries, personally chosen and matched by Moon were supposed to participate in the blessing of married couples, but the estimation is that actually there was around 100 couples less. It was said that some of them did not come to their own wedding in time because of bad weather. Most of the guests in white dresses and wedding veils were Polish. Many Austrians and Germans came, but also citizens from Asia or Africa. The number of all participants is estimated to 1500. The idea of the event was to raise up the ideals of family life and mixed couples were to embody the reconciliation between different nations and religions. More about this you can find soon in more detailed article.

Finally, there is the picture of bride and groom taken in the Hall, both of them looking different direction with the comment:

Newly blessed married couples sometimes have problem to speak together, because they do not speak same language.
