European Leaders' Meeting Summer 1999 - Opening Speech

Porec, Croatia - 27th August 1999

Before I begin my speech, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all of our elder Korean National Messiahs, National Messiahs, National Leaders and brothers and sisters present here today. I returned to Germany from Brazil on 24th August and immediately departed the next day to Croatia.

When I was in Brazil, I could really feel that our Blessed members are very great. There were around one thousand members in Jardim. Many of our elder Blessed couples brought several of their children to participate in the 40-day seminar. I also brought my youngest son, who is almost two years old, to Jardim. It is a very long journey from Frankfurt to Jardim. It took more than twenty-four hours. I had to carry him for more than twenty hours. I was thinking so much why Father asks us to come to Jardim and participate in this 40-day educational program during my journey. Of course I can understand the purpose of education, but why should we go to Brazil? Jardim is very far from Europe; it is even further from Korea. It takes more than twenty hours to get there by aeroplane.

I really have to say that I have so much respect for our brothers and sisters, they are really so great. They have been sacrificing their wholes lives for True Parents for twenty, thirty or more years. Most of our members have always humbly followed our True Parents and are really doing their best to unite with Father's word. When I look at our brothers and sisters I could really feel that our brothers and sisters are great. No one else can do as our brothers and sisters. Most of you joined the family a long time ago, and you have been sacrificing your whole lives for God and True Parents ever since that time. W? still have to do so much for God's providence, but it is my honest feeling that most of our members are still able to keep a good and consistent spirit no matter what they are asked to do. We have around two hundred exceptional people here today. I truly feel that with two hundred really great people, we can achieve so much, that we really have so much potential.

Are you happy to come to such a beautiful place here in Croatia? Most of our members have very little time to go on holiday. I have been living here in Europe for more than 13 years, but I have had no chance to go on holiday with my family. We have to do so many important things, we always have to fulfil the latest goal and have no time to take a rest or go on vacation or holiday. For this reason, I want to give you these three days as a public holiday. Please use this meeting as an opportunity to take a few days rest and have an unforgettable experience here in Croatia. This is one of the main purposes of this meeting. The second purpose of this meeting is to evaluate our activities over these past eight months, to share our hearts and report these activities and our results. It a chance to encourage and inspire one another to work hard in the future.

Finally, I have to remind you that there are just four months left before the end of this year. It is most important that we work properly during these next four months. Through this meeting I want you all to gain a clear idea about the direction in which we should be working and how we should be spending our most precious time for God, True Parents and the European movement during the final four months of this year. Centring on these three main purposes of this meeting, I want to ask you to think about yourselves, about the heart of Heavenly Father and True Parents. I want you to think about a clear plan through which we can develop our reality and fulfil the goal given by our True Parents - particularly with regard to the 400-Million Couples' Blessing.

Important providential events, which have taken, place so far this year

The topic of my speech this morning is "Cosmic Providence and the Completion of the Kingdom of Heaven." Before I explain the main content, I would like to reflect upon several important providential events, which have taken place so far this year. On 1st January our True Parents gave the motto for the year: "Cosmic Expansion of the Blessing and Rooting Out of Satan's Blood Lineage." When we had our leaders' meeting in Prague this January, I gave my speech according to this motto. However, Father made a special declaration in Punte del Este, Uruguay on 8th January 1999. Father declared this ceremony as "The Declaration of the Completion and Liberation of the Cosmic Expansion of the Blessing and Rooting Out of Satan's Blood Lineage." So Father gave the motto for this year on January 1st 1999, but just one week later, Father declared the completion of that motto. Since that time Father has made several ceremonies declaring the total liberation of the spiritual world. We were beginning to question why Father had to make liberation ceremonies for the total liberation of the spiritual world several times. However we came to understand that Father can not liberate the complicated spiritual world entirely at one time.

There are many different levels in the spiritual world, and there are so many complicated problems to solve. Therefore, even though Father has declared the total liberation of the spiritual world, we have to understand that it is impossible to solve all problems in one go. Father has declared the total liberation of the spiritual world on several occasions in this year of 1999. You know that Father declared the total liberation of the spiritual world in Chung Pyung many years ago, and that Father made a special liberation ceremony in Pantanal and on many other occasions. The important point for us to understand is that it is so complicated to liberate the spiritual world.

Last year Father made the Sa-Sa-Jeol declaration on 8th September. I was together with Father at that time in Alaska whilst Father declared in front of all Continental Directors, leading members of the Second Generation and Cain and Abel National Messiahs. If we add up all of the numbers from the date of the Sa Sa Jeol ceremony (1+9+9+8+9+8), the total comes to 44. Sa-Sa-Jeol symbolises two different levels of the 4 Position Foundation, the physical world and in the spiritual world.

On 8th February 1999, the 360 Million Couples' Blessing was completed with the main ceremony in Korea. True Parents came to Korea before this ceremony and started their world speaking tour from 19th January. If you recall, Mother started the tour with her speech on 19th January and Father also spoke in several difference places during the tour. There were eight venues in Korea and Mother went on to speak in sixteen cities in Japan, twenty-four cities in the USA and thirty-two cities in the rest of the world. This means that True Parents spoke in a total of 80 cities throughout the world. The tour lasted from 19th January until 10th June. Father made several declarations during the course of the tour. On 17th May, Father made the "Declaration of Cosmic Liberation" in Pantanal. On 30th May, Father made the declaration of the "True Parents in Heaven and Earth" at Belvedere in the USA. Father later returned to Korea and made the most incredible declaration of "True Parents Cosmic Victory" on the day of all things - 14th June.

From the beginning of this year, Father asked that we liberate at least four generations of our ancestors. This was later changed to seven generations of ancestors. Dae Mo Nim did this incredible work in Chung Pyung, and then travelled to the USA, Russia and finally to Europe at the beginning of this month. Most of our members have now participated in one of these liberation ceremonies for the liberation of seven generations of ancestors.

Father also has strongly emphasised the importance of Hoon Dok Hae. Father has explained that the purpose of Hoon Dok Hae is to introduce and recognise the importance of the spiritual world. Father really wants to teach us about the spiritual world through Hoon Dok Hae. Father has recently been talking so much about the importance of the spiritual world - especially since last year.

We recently had a Hoon Dok Hae gathering in Washington DC. At that time we had 32 VIPs from Europe who were in Washington for the IIFWP conference and attended this special Hoon Dok Hae gathering. I was also present at that time. I was worried about the content of that meeting. However, when we started the Hoon Dok Hae session, all the VIPs read and listened attentively throughout the entire session.

We have to understand that Hoon Dok Hae is not just for our members, but for all people in society, especially VIPs and important public leaders. I was so inspired to meet with our participating European VIPs. Many of them expressed their thanks and gratitude for the Hoon Dok Hae session and a number even asked for extra copies of the Hoon Dok Hae books which they wanted to take with them to give to their friends. The content of the Hoon Dok Hae session was "Life on Earth and in the Spirit World."

Father really wants to teach the most prominent leaders in our society about the spiritual world. I really have confidence that through Hoon Dok Hae we can get such important people to really listen to, study and accept Father's words. We often worry so much about upsetting our important guests that we don't want to introduce them directly to Father's words. However, we have to understand that through the incredible development of God's providence, there is now a foundation for VIPs to directly listen to and follow Father's word.

As you know I have travelled with Father on a number of occasions, even travelling on his private jet for more than twenty hours. Immediately as the plane takes off, we start Hoon Dok Hae. Of course I was very happy to travel together with True Parents, but we had to constantly do reading for Hoon Dok Hae. The main content of the Hoon Dok Hae was about life in the spirit world.

As you know, one of the main providential events for our members has been to attend Chung Pyung workshops and receive ancestral liberation from Dae Mo Nim. The other important providential event that Father has asked all Blessed families to participate in is the 40-day ideal family education in Jardim.

After the completion of the 360 Million couples Blessing ceremony in Korea, Father gave all Blessed members the authority to give the Blessing.

You have to understand how amazing this is. All of our Blessed members, Tribal Messiahs, and National Messiahs now have the authority to give the Blessing. People can receive the Blessing and become Blessed couples through your authority. Especially married couples can receive the Blessing through you. The authority to give the Blessing is one of the most important authorities of our True Parents, but our True Parents have now given this authority to all of our Blessed couples. We have all received such an incredible authority, which we would never have imagined in the past.

Father has even given National Messiahs the authority to make the matching. Some leaders have even come to me to ask whether it is true that Father has given Continental Directors and National Messiahs the authority to match couples. When I heard this news, I thought that perhaps many of our matching candidates would be very disappointed. They had an incredible desire to be matched by True Parents, but instead now have to be matched by their National Messiah or Continental Director. Even though we have no desire to match our brothers and sisters, even though we are still afraid to make such big decisions, we have to use the authority that Father has given us. You have to understand that True Parents can not continue to give the Blessing and do matching forever. Father has already declared that he will not Bless married couples anymore. It is not that Father doesn't want people to receive the Blessing anymore, but that Father expects Continental Directors and National Messiahs to inherit the tradition of matching and Blessing and that they conduct the matching and Blessing in accordance with his direction.

We were all Blessing candidates in the past. How wonderful it is to receive the Blessing and become Blessed members through True Parents. Now, we are not only Blessed couples, but we have the right and authority to give the Blessing. National Messiahs and Continental Directors have the right to match couples. However, you should understand that matching in this way is only pre-matching. This means that we can match candidates according to Father's direction, but that these matchings can only be made official after True Parents have given their approval. We don't know exactly how much Father will change things. Perhaps in the future, all of our Blessed members will have the authority to give the matching. We can come to see how many things are now changing through the development God's providence.

When I reflect about this year, I have to say that I feel that Father's strongest concern is with the spiritual world.

This year's motto contains the words "Cosmic Expansion." According to the Divine Principle, the Cosmos is formed from the corporeal word and incorporeal world. This means that True Parents work of restoration has to incorporate both the physical and spiritual realms. Father explained very clearly that his most important work is the restoration of the spiritual world.

Father said that God created the angelic world before He created Adam and Eve. Because of the Fall, the angels could not become perfect and they could not support Adam and Eve. Father explained that the spiritual world is like the angelic world. Adam and Eve should have become perfect, establish a perfect family on earth and finally go to the spiritual world to take dominion over it. However, they Fell, they could not reach perfection and establish the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. As a result they could not take up their proper position in the spiritual world and the spiritual world has remained under the dominion of the Archangel. Therefore, it is absolutely necessary to first liberate the spiritual world in order to commence a New Providence centring on Adam and Eve.

It is important to establish a realm of victory in the spiritual world. Through this way, the angelic world can be liberated. Adam and Eve could not have reached perfection without the help and support of the archangel. True Parents now come as the third Adam, but they can not realise the Kingdom of Heaven without liberating and gaining the support of the angelic world. This is the reason why Father's main work in the physical world is to establish the proper conditions to liberate the spiritual world. There are so many spirits in the spiritual world, but they can not be liberated without True Parents. They are not even free to come down to the physical world. These spirits can now be liberated by True Parents and come down to the physical world to live and work together with True Parents. They should be able to experience the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. Through this way they can enter the Kingdom of Heaven in the spiritual world.

There are many times more people in the spiritual world than are living at present on the earth. There are so many important people in the spiritual world. We can not compare the number of influential people on earth to the number of influential people in the spiritual world. The vast majority of truly influential people are in the spiritual world. Jesus Christ, Mohammed, Buddha and Socrates are all in the spiritual world. If you understand about the spiritual world, you can understand that the Messiah has to solve the problems in the spiritual world and can not only work in the physical world. We have a tendency to only think about this physical and substantial world, but we have to understand about the reality of the spiritual world and the importance of its liberation. There are many important leaders in the world today, but who really cares about people who died? Whether it was one thousand years ago, ten-thousand years ago or just recently. Only True Parents are really concerned about such matters.

When Dae Mo Nim (Mrs. Kim) was here in Europe for the ancestral liberation ceremonies in Germany and the Czech Republic, I could freely share about the situation of my family. In my family I had one younger brother who died when he was five years old. At that time I was eight years old and I was very deeply affected by his death. I really started to think very seriously and very deeply about death. I shared about this with Dae Mo Nim and she asked me why I had not written his name down and so I gave her his name. Some time later I started to think again. I had one elder sister who had died just a few days after she was born. As she died so quickly, we never really considered her as a member of our family. So I asked Dae Mo Nim again, "Can I liberate my eldest sister as well?" Dae Mo Nim asked me for her name, but I couldn't give it to her because she died before being given one. Dae Mo Nim asked me to make a name for her and give it to her on a piece of paper. I hope that both my elder sister and younger brother could now be liberated and that they can grow in the spiritual world and become Blessed members. We have to understand that if someone dies when they are just two years old or five years old, it is not the end of their lives. They can still grow in the spiritual world and become Blessed members.

Later I began to think about members that I had worked with who went to the spiritual world. I thought about Shuhei Yoshida, a German CARP brother who died in a car accident. I thought about René Prybl, the Czech CARP leader who died in a boating accident. And then I started to think about more and more members who died in the past. We did not know what to do about those members who passed on to the spiritual world. Many of these members worked very hard for God and True Parents, but in many cases died before they could start family life or receive the Blessing. We could not help them so much in the past, but now we have a way to help them through the liberation ceremonies with Dae Mo Nim. We have to not only think about the members who are working for us now, but we should also think about those members who are in the spiritual world.

Have you heard about Kwan-Soon Yoo? She lead a Korean independence demonstration against the Japanese occupation and died when she was just sixteen years old. Father liberated her and gave her the Blessing through matching her with a Japanese husband. The Japanese occupation forces killed her. She regarded the Japanese as the enemy of enemies. This can cause many problems in the spiritual world; this is why Father gave her a Japanese husband. We have to understand that because of such events, incredible resentments are built up in the spiritual world. This is why it is so difficult for Korean people to co-operate with Japanese people. In the spiritual world Koreans and Japanese are really enemies. Only through such restoration can things begin to change. We have to really think about the incredible work our True Parents are doing.

Father has now asked Dae Mo Nim to liberate all significant evil people in world history. People like Hitler, Karl Marx, Lenin, etc who have caused so much human suffering and misery in the past have now been liberated. They have the opportunity to repent. If they can really repent, they can do so much to restore things in the spiritual world. Father not only wants to liberate all people in the spiritual world, he wants to Bless them and allow them to come down to the physical world and experience life together with True Parents.

The second point, which I would like to talk about, is the establishment

of the Kingdom of Heaven.

I have come to the understanding that the Kingdom of Heaven has no meaning unless we have the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. If Adam and Eve had united with God's Word in the Garden of Eden, they would have grown to perfection, become True Parents and established a True Family. This True Family would have been the Kingdom of Heaven. It is impossible to experience the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth without True Parents. The spirits in the spiritual world have to come down to the physical world not only to support their descendants, but also to experience life in the physical world together with True Parents. Through this way they can experience the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. Perhaps we have a wrong concept about the Kingdom of Heaven. We maybe feel that we do not have to work in the Kingdom of Heaven, that we can be totally free for twenty-four hours a day, that we can eat all kinds of delicious foods every day and that we can sleep as much as we like. This is not the Kingdom of Heaven. Many rich people are now living such a kind of life in the physical world. They can enjoy delicious food without limitation, they can enjoy their holidays, they don't need to work, and they can sleep for many hours in a nice bed. Do you think that this is the Kingdom of Heaven? This absolute nonsense. The Kingdom of Heaven is the place where we have True Parents. Many times Father asked me to bring several leaders from various European countries. Many of these leaders had an expectation to have a nice time together with True Parents, but the reality was often different.

Many of our leaders and members misunderstand our position. As Continental Leader I can meet with True Parents many times, but it is often physically very demanding. Even as Continental Leaders, we have no place to sleep and have to fight for a small place somewhere. We have no space to change our clothes, we have to wait in long queues for our food and we have to spend many hours reading Hoon Dok Hae. Do you like to do Hoon Dok Hae all of the time? Honestly speaking, would you like to do Hoon Dok Hae all day? If you like, we can do Hoon Dok Hae all of the time during these next few days here in Croatia.

In reality, it is very hard to follow True Parents, it is very hard to be together with True Parents, but you should think about the value of meeting True Parents. True Parents have a limited time on the earth. Those people who have been able to meet True Parents in the physical world will be the ones who can really testify about True Parents in the future. They will become famous in the future. How precious it will be to be able to testify that we met True Parents. Even though we had a hard time with True Parents, we should understand the value of being able to meet True Parents.

The meaning of the Kingdom of Heaven is the establishment of the True Family centring on True Parents. The Kingdom of Heaven can only be realised through the Blessing. In 1992 we had the 30,000 couples' Blessing, but this was not enough to open the gates of the spiritual world to the Blessing. Later in 1995 we had the 360,000 couples' Blessing, in 1997 we had the 40 Million couples' Blessing and now earlier this year, the 360 Million couples' Blessing. Through the development of these Blessings, Father could establish the foundation to open the gates of the spiritual world to the Blessing. Now Father has even opened the way to Bless people who died before they were able to marry.

Finally, the gates have been opened for the Blessing to take place between people in the spiritual world and physical world. The time has come for people who had passed on to the spiritual world to be matched and Blessed to someone in the physical world. Perhaps some of our younger members may be thinking that they would not like to be matched and have a spouse on earth but would rather be matched to a saint in the spiritual world. You should know that this is not possible for our younger members. This Blessing is only available to older people. Through the history of the Blessing, such incredible things are now taking place. True Parents as the Messiah have to establish the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth and in the spiritual world. The purpose of our True Parents is to solve the problems in the physical and spiritual worlds. Through living together with our True Parents, we can establish the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth and in the spiritual world.

More than eighty percent of our True Parents activities are concerned with the spiritual world. The goal of True Parents is to first establish the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth so that spirits can come down and experience life with True Parents in the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth. This is why our True Father really wants to teach about the spiritual world. True Parents have to establish the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth and in the spiritual world. Secondly True Parents want to make it possible for us to become members of the Kingdom of Heaven. Even though you may have worked very hard to support True Parents in the establishment of the Kingdom of Heaven, you have no qualification to go to the Kingdom of Heaven. This is the reason why Father has been pushing us through Hoon Dok Hae, to grow ourselves, and to raise ourselves up in order to become members of the Kingdom of Heaven.

We have to do so many things, but Father mobilised our Blessed members to come to Jardim for the 40-day workshop. I tried to attend this workshop on so many occasions, but it was not possible for me to go there earlier. I always had to postpone my plan and make a new one.

I was actually very happy in Jardim; I did not want to come back. It takes so much effort to return to Europe and then to return to Jardim, I had an incredible struggle about returning to Europe or not. Many people in Jardim asked me to stay and told me to forget about Europe. They said this is the New Hope East Garden, don't worry about the Fallen world and stay here for forty days. Finally I decided to return to Europe, but I was very sad to leave.

We have to do so many things, but Father can still liberate us from work so that we can think about our reality, to think about our families, to grow ourselves and establish ideal families. Through this experience I came to realise that even though we have to do so many things, there is no meaning to our lives if we do not gain the qualification to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. This is the reason why True Parents are not only trying to build the Kingdom of Heaven, but why they are also trying to take care of us so that we have the qualification to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.

What has Christianity been teaching up until now? It has talked a lot about the Kingdom of Heaven, but it did not understand the way to go to the Kingdom of Heaven. The difference between Christianity and the Unification Church is that we can teach people the substantial way to go to the Kingdom of Heaven. It is not just a simple matter of accepting Christ as the Messiah. There are so many problems in this world. We are so privileged to know the way to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. This is why True Parents have to ask us to do so many complicated things in order to save us. We have to realise that our final destination is the spiritual world. We can make a lot of money, have a nice house and a nice life in the physical world, but such people will fail and will not become successful in the spiritual world.

Father talks about the cosmic expansion of the Blessing because our final destination is the spiritual world, not the physical world. We need to have a completely different concept than other people who are living in this physical world. What is our most precious treasure in the spiritual world? According to Father's words, Heaven is the place where only those who live for the sake of others go. The most valuable way is to live for the sake of others. This is the main teaching of Rev. Sun Myung Moon. This teaching is not just for our members, but all of humankind. Father is continuously telling everyone that we have to live for the sake of others, for the sake of humankind. Father is asking us to live our lives not only for this world, but also for the spiritual world. This is the way for us to prepare for our final destination. Father explained that unselfish love is the principle of Heaven and Earth. This was the motivation behind the creation of the cosmos. This is why God created humankind and all things. Heavenly Father wanted to live for the sake of humankind; he wanted to live for sake of all things.

Living for the sake of others means to have no limitations

Father explained many times that our hands do not exist for themselves, that our eyes do not exist for themselves. If a stone is coming towards your head, you hand will automatically come up to catch or block the stone and protect your head. Your hand can not stay down and say that it does want to be hit by the stone and that it is better that the head becomes broken. God created the hand to protect the head. Everything exists for each other; this is the principle of the universe. If someone can follow the principle of the universe, this person can prosper. The person who is against the principle of the universe will finally perish. This is the most precious teaching in the universe. Father explained that man lives for the sake of woman and vice versa. If a man lives for the sake of himself, he will probably disappear in one or two generations. Parents should live for the sake of their children and children should live for the sake of their parents. Individuals must live for the sake of the family, the family should live for the sake of the society, and the society should live for the sake of nation and world. The world should live for the sake of God. Heavenly Father expects us to live for the sake of others. Only those who can live for the sake of God can enter to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Living for the sake of others means to have no limitations. For example, it means that we have to live for the sake of other religions, we have to live for the sake of other races. Koreans have to live for the sake of Japanese. If Korean people think that Japan must sacrifice itself for the sake of Korea, Korea will perish. We really have to find a way to overcome racial problems, national problems and religious problems. If we all truly live for the sake of others, the world can automatically be changed. This is the practice of True Love.

If a person simply lives for the sake of his family, it is not enough because it means he is prepared to sacrifice other families for his own family. Some people will sacrifice others for their own gain. Others will sacrifice another country for their own country. Those people who sacrifice others for themselves are those people who are prepared to cheat and steal from others for their own gain. If someone simply tries to live for the sake of their own family or for their own nation, they will be an evil person. Someone who only lives for the sake of Korea is an evil person. It means that they are prepared to kill thousands of Japanese, Chinese and other non-Koreans for the sake of their nation. Is that a great person? Of course I understand that sometimes it is important to protect the national interests, but there often many cases where people are seeking selfish gain. Unless we can live for all the different levels up to God, we are evil people. If you are thinking that you can just live for the sake of Croatia, if you are thinking that you can only live for the sake of Germany or for the sake of the Czech Republic, it means that you have a wrong concept and that you are an evil person.

Father recently asked Mr. Yang (the new North American Continental Director) to bring fifty leaders from North America to Alaska. During the meeting Father asked the fifty American leaders to go to Japan for forty days and in exchange fifty Japanese leaders come to America for forty days. We are now preparing for the 400 Million Couples' Blessing and Father has mobilised fifty American leaders to go to Japan and fifty Japanese leaders to come to America. Leaders need at least six months to adapt themselves to a new environment. It means that in reality, these mobilised leaders will be able to do very little. You may ask why Father makes such a mobilisation during such an important time whilst the disadvantages are so obvious? Father's motivation is clear: If we fulfil the conditions to establish the Kingdom of Heaven, but are still not able to go beyond the limitations of our nation or race, we are not qualified to live in the Kingdom of Heaven. Even though we may have done so much to build the Kingdom of Heaven, we will not be qualified to enter unless we can overcome our limitations. Heaven is the place where only those who live for the sake of others can go. Others means not only my family, not only my society, not only my nation, but the entire world and Cosmos. Father can even change the leadership between Japan and America. Father has declared that Korea, Japan and America are one nation.

So now the national leader of the Czech Republic can also become the national leader of Hungary. We have to be prepared to work in this way. It may also be the same for National Messiahs. If we can not go beyond our limitations about race, national or cultural differences, we will not be qualified to go to the Kingdom of Heaven. This is why it is important for us all to have the right attitude whether we are qualified to enter the Kingdom or not.

The next important point, which we have to prepare in the physical world that is the most important in the spiritual world is to restore many spiritual children.

Father explained that your greatest treasure in the spiritual world will be the number of spiritual children you have managed to restore. You will be evaluated, or even judged by the number of spiritual children you restore. Of course it is also important to have physical children, but unless we have many spiritual children we will not be qualified as Blessed members. The most important condition for all Blessed members is to have at least three spiritual children.

We should all find three spiritual children for the 400 Million couples' Blessing which will take place on 13th February next year. You all have many diverse and important responsibilities, but unless you have the minimum of three spiritual children, you will not be liberated from satanic accusation. Humankind can be saved and restored through the Blessing, through accepting True Parents as the Messiah. Witnessing is the best way to practise True Love.

Dae Mo Nim recently came to Europe and liberated seven generations of your ancestors. At that time she explained to me about the importance of spiritual children. Our ancestors in the spiritual world are not able to restore spiritual children because they do not have physical bodies. Therefore we have to restore spiritual children for our ancestors. Dae Mo Nim explained that even if we liberate seven generations. Each generation needs three spiritual children (as a couple). Three multiplied by seven generations means a minimum of twenty-one spiritual children. It is almost impossible to make so many spiritual children in just three months therefore Dae Mo Nim has set up two conditions for their liberation and Blessing.

The first condition is the payment of the liberation fee. Some members have been struggling about this point quite a lot, but you have to understand the importance of this fee. Our ancestors have to attend the one hundred-day workshop with Heung Jin Nim, but we have to pay the fee. If we have not made enough condition through paying the fee, our ancestors cannot attend this workshop immediately. The second condition is to have a minimum of three spiritual children. Dae Mo Nim explained that we can consider the seven generations as one united body and that we should make a minimum of three spiritual children in three months to enable our ancestors to receive the Blessing. Dae Mo Nim explained that she will help us by giving us two matched Blessed couples from the spiritual world to help and support our families.

Finally I want to explain about the cosmic expansion of the Blessing

as the conclusion to my speech.

At the beginning of this year I mentioned that I was very happy that Father did not give a numeric goal for this year. I felt very liberated by this point. However, Father suddenly announced the new goal of 400 Million matching candidates for the next Blessing. I thought that the fulfilment of the 360 Million couples was the final goal, but again Father gave an even higher and more difficult goal of 400 Million matched couples. I have really been thinking about this new goal so much. After some time I really came to realise the incredible plan and heart our True Parents have to restore this world.

We have made the victory of 400 Million couples Blessing up until last time. If we think about these 400 Million couples, we can conclude that ninety percent were married couples. These married couples belong to the first generation; they can be regarded as representing the past and current worlds. This is why Father could allow all kinds of different people to participate in these Blessings. Even evil people, robbers and murders were able to freely receive the Blessing. Father wanted to use these Blessings to clean up this existing world, to clean up the fallen world, to clean up the world of the past.

Upon this foundation, Father can now declare the 400 Million couples' Blessing for single or un-married candidates. If you recall, Father some time ago started talking about the realm of the fourth Adam. There was Adam, then there was the second Adam (Jesus Christ) and now the third Adam who comes as the Lord of the Second Advent. The fourth Adam is the person who stands in the position of Adam before the Fall. Symbolically, Father cleaned up the entire fallen world using Holy Wine through the previous 400 Million couples. Based upon this incredible victory, all single un-married people can now be regarded as the second generation, as a Blessed tribe, as representatives of the future.

The European goal for the 400 Million couples' Blessing is 30 Million Couples. This goal is achievable! If we use Holy Candy, we can easily reach out to 30 Million Couples. We have to think about the meaning of the Blessing. The Blessing is not only marriage. Jacob was blessed by his father Isaac, but this was not marriage. Jacob could inherit the birthright from Isaac, but this was not marriage. As we know, Jacob married later when he was in Haran. We need to understand that the meaning of the Blessing in not simply marriage. Through Holy Candy we can reach out to many young people, it is convenient and non-alcoholic. We can not ask young children to take wine. You may struggle that they do not even know that they received the Blessing or not. You can ask my son who is now translating for Korean National Messiahs. He did not know that he was born as a Blessed child.

This method is even better than before. We can give Holy Candy to many young people, they will not know that they were Blessed. They don't know the meaning of Holy Candy. Through this Holy Candy Blessing we can declare that the second generation (all young un-married people) belong to True Parents. It is a most important condition through which we can declare that young people no longer belong to Satan, but instead belong to God and True Parents. Many previously married couples did not know or understand that they had received the Blessing, but they were counted as Blessed couples. The main point was that they drank the Holy Wine. If they receive the Holy Wine and as long as they keep their purity as a couple, they can remain as Blessed couples. Those people who were Blessed in the spiritual world are more safe as they can not make a mistake anymore. If your parents were eighty years old and received the Blessing, they can go to the Kingdom of Heaven as it is very difficult commit sin at such an age.

Some of our members received the Blessing after many years of hard work and then fell later after the receiving the Blessing. In such a case they have to take responsibility for their actions. However, very old people who receive the Blessing have no chance to commit sexual sin. Even through they can not do so much for God's providence, and even through they do not understand so much about the Blessing; they can still go to the Kingdom of Heaven.

In a similar way, younger children can not easily commit sexual sin. Therefore it is better to give Holy Candy to younger children who can more easily keep their purity. Together with giving the Holy Candy we can make a pure love campaign. Through this way they can keep their purity and root out Satan's blood lineage in a later Blessing. If some of these children later make mistakes, they do not need to take responsibility. They do not know that they are Blessed, and do not know the meaning of the Blessing. We should understand that giving the Blessing in this way is part of a conditional battle between God and Satan.

Many of us including myself have had very limited thinking about the Blessing. Many of us question why we should spend so much and time and money simply to give Holy Candies. If Father specifically stated that we have to make 400 Million properly matched and prepared couples, we can never achieve the goal. Even if we got a lot of support from the spiritual world, it would be impossible to achieve the goal. Therefore we can count young children who receive the Holy Candy as part of the 400 Million couple Blessing. We have to change our concepts and be liberated! You take a lot of time to think about whether it is right or wrong to give the Blessing in this way, but the more time you spend thinking about it, the more time is being lost. For this reason I really want to liberate you from this struggle so that we can truly start to work to fulfil the goal.

When I was recently in America, they had already Blessed more than three Million couples. They organised a big campaign on their 4th July independence day. At that time there were many people on the street and in the parks. Through this way the American movement could already Bless 10 Million couples. So far in Europe we did not even make one thousand couples. European members are so conservative. We prefer to think more deeply about the meaning of such Blessings, rather than go out to give it.

Father has allowed us to Bless young children through giving them Holy Candy, that is why it should be no problem to fulfil our European goal of 30 Million couples. Our substantial goal is to find 21,000 matching candidates. This is our substantial goal. Of course we have to fulfil the 30 Million couples goal, but we have to be able to concentrate on seriously fulfilling the goal of 21,000 matching candidates.

I really want to liberate you through this meeting. Big numbers should not oppress us. I give all National Leaders to authority to go out and manufacture Holy Wine Candies. Don't worry too much about this point, I will take responsibility, Mr. Hwang also said that he would take responsibility. We should try to fulfil this goal as quickly as possible so that we can have more time to find matching candidates. The 400 Million couples will represent the future world and the second generation. They will become the main people to build and establish the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth and in Heaven.

As you know, we are now living at a very crucial moment in history. There are just four months before the new millennium. A new decade and new century are beginning in just four months. Even if you have been working for twenty or thirty years, you have to endure and sacrifice for four more months until the year two thousand. True Parents received the Blessing in 1960, the year 2000 means that forty years will have passed since True Parents' Blessing. Father is always thinking about numbers, he always think about how he can connect numbers with God's providence. He is always looking for a new way to work hard and live for the sake of God's providence. The year 2000 will be Father's fortieth Blessing anniversary. The 400 Million couples which represent the Old World is already completed. Another 400 Million couples Blessing which represent the future world or New World will soon take place. This is such a significant time in history. Now is really the most important time in history.

There have been many many important mountains, but this is the final peek.

If we do not climb this mountain we will die in the wilderness. Leaders always tell us that this is the final peek, this is the last chance. Therefore you may be a bit sceptical, you may be tired to have to make a new determination again, and would perhaps prefer to use this meeting as a time to relax or do sports, but you should think about what I am saying. I am now fifty years old; I have been Continental Director for more than six years. Even though I have had many difficulties, even though I have been given so many goals, I have to determine myself to give my utmost as a matter of life or death until the year 2000, until Father's eighth birthday, until True Parents' fortieth Blessing anniversary. This is the most important providential point in time. Even though we all have so many problems and difficulties, we have to push ourselves to work into the coming millennium until the Blessing.

We have to think about so many things for this meeting. Don't worry about the 21,000 matching candidates. If each of our members individually focuses on the goal to make three matching candidates by the end of this year, if each of our members focuses on bringing one matched couple to Korea, we can bring success. Each of you should now focus on your individual goal. It doesn't matter whether you find your matching candidates in your country or in another country. Especially in this time of sistership relations between Western and Eastern Europe, Western member should be mobilised to Eastern Europe to fulfil this goal. Father said that we can even go beyond our continent. So if you want to go to Africa or you want to send a team to Africa, you can do so, but you must pay their expenses to attend the Blessing in Korea.

From now on we have to work again centring on East European countries in order to fulfil our goal. We still have some details to discuss, but I want to declare three forty days periods of mobilisation starting on 1st September and continuing until the end of this year. That is: 1st September till 10th October, 11th October till 19th November and from 20th November till 29th December. Through these three forty-day periods we have to fulfil our goal given by the World President and by our True Parents. Everybody must make a new absolute commitment to fulfil this goal.

Whilst I was returning to Europe from Brazil I was thinking why Father decided to establish an ideal educational centre in such a remote place in Brazil. I think it was not really Father's original desire. Whilst I was travelling here to Croatia from Germany, I was thinking about how beautiful our European countries are. If I compare European countries to Brazil, they are one hundred times more beautiful. They are much richer, there is still a lot of space, there is very beautiful landscape and there are many possibilities. So why does Father go to work in such a difficult place like Brazil? My conclusion is that it is not Father's desire to go to Brazil, it is not Father's desire to use this area for the future of our movement. I was thinking about the Mormon Church. The second founder of the Mormon Church was Brigham Young. He brought his people to Salt Lake City in America because they had been persecuted in many other areas. Nobody in this area was interested in his movement, therefore he brought all his members to Salt Lake City so that they could be free to start to work from there.

It was not so easy for me to travel to Jardim for more than twenty-four hours together with my baby. Why does Father choose such a hot and dusty place in the middle of the wilderness as the new hope? Members often speak well of the New Hope farm in Jardim, but personally I prefer to live in Europe. European countries are much better than Brazil or other countries in South America. However, we as European members did not make enough foundation for True Parents to establish an ideal educational centre in Europe. I really think that we have to liberate True Parents from such a difficult Continent. In Europe there are many fishing places, we have many seas, and there is a lot of Ocean. Therefore I feel that we should not only enjoy going to Jardim, but we should feel responsible for building a foundation for welcoming True Parents to Europe. I really feel that True Parents had to go to a place like Jardim because we could not establish a good foundation in Europe.

I heard that Christian Hausmann, the new German National Leader is now doing a very good job working in Stuttgart. He has developed some business and is employing many of our members who have now moved there. I was very impressed. I have been thinking about this point very much. In each nation many of our members are very scattered across the country. I was thinking that it would be good for our members to gather together to build a foundation. We should not isolate ourselves from society. Through building a foundation together in one place like the Mormons did, we can expand and go to other places. I was thinking that if our members moved to be together, then we can begin to work together, our children can have friends, we can establish kindergartens and schools and have our own identity. From such a foundation we can start to pioneering other cities. Without having a good foundation in one place, we will fail in expanding and pioneering in other cities. Therefore it is good to pioneer and expand, but it is important to concentrate in a single area to establish a foundation from which to expand.

Some nations in Europe have a very weak foundation. Perhaps it is better to go beyond national boundaries and focus on certain nations to build a proper foundation from which we can gradually expand. I came to realise that Father wants to use the New Hope Farm in Brazil as a foundation to make a new start from which we can expand to the world. Father wants us as major leaders to make a new start and determination. Let us work to build a foundation with which we can work to invite True Parents to Europe.

Let us really push ourselves to go forward during the last four months of this millennium, so that we can make a good foundation. I hope that all of you can understand my heart and that all of you can make a new determination through this European Leaders gathering here in Croatia. I hope that we can really invest our hearts one hundred percent during the remaining four months of this year. This is the only way for us to properly conclude this decade, century and millennium.
