Pope John Paul II

Pope John Paul II, born on May 18th, 1920, in Wadowice (Poland), is said to be the most recognized person in the world. He is, by far, the most traveled pope in the 2,000 year history of the Church, and he speaks eight languages. Karol Cardinal Wojtyla, the Archbishop of Krakow was 58 years old when the College of Cardinals elected him to lead the Roman Catholic Church on October 16th, 1978. He was the first non-italian chosen as in 456 years and the youngest this century. He is the first Pope from Poland in the 1000-year history of christian Polish nation. He is the 264th pope in Church history.

The 7 Deadly Sins

The Roman Catholic Church is the world's largest congregation.
It is represented in almost every country of the world.
One estimates the number of Catholics to be over one billion by the year 2000.

Especially important is St. Augustine through his explanation about Trinity
his emphasis on Inherited Sin and his explanation of Grace.

The Catholic Church has since long time had the daily fight against the 7 Deadly Sins, as a rule for daily life.

1. LUST - Compare with the Principles explanation of the Fall of Man
2. ENVY - -"- Lucifer's envy against the potentially perfect Adams position.
3. GLUTTONY - -"- Fallen man's desire to put fleshly desires before spiritual.
4. LAZYNESS - -"- The disciples and John the Baptist laziness to unite and witness about Jesus as the Messiah
  in Jesus lifetime.
5. WRATH - - " - Cain's murder of Abel.
6. PRIDE - - " - Lucifer's feeling of pride as the angel of knowledge against the imperfect Adam.
7. GREED - - " - Lucifers greed to control man and creation against Gods expressive order.
