Introduction

For the future, there is to be new revelation that will dwarf into comparative insignificance all the knowledge now revealed from heaven. When the sealed portion of the Book of Mormon comes forth it will "reveal all things from the foundation of the world unto the end thereof," and in this final dispensation, "all things shall be revealed unto the children of men which ever have been among the children of men, and which ever will be even unto the end of the earth." (2 Nephi 27:10-11, 22; 30:18)1

This work is a testament to the revelations and life of the first husband and wife in human history worthy of being called the "True Son and Daughter of God." Part One is intended to be the first stone for a doctrinal bridge between the revelation and theology which this couple, Reverend and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon, are freely sharing with all humankind, and Mormon Doctrine and theology which teaches that Christ will come again to the earth in the flesh. While I do not pretend to be an expert on Mormon Doctrine, I offer my insights and careful study in humble appreciation to all Latter-day Saints for their dedication and service to God, Jesus Christ and humanity, in hopes that the new revelation shared by Reverend and Mrs. Moon can give Mormons greater wisdom in our shared commitment to revive Christianity and establish the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. Part Two consists of what I believe to be the boldest proclamation ever to be given and yet to be received by Latter-day Saints collectively. It also offers an invitation to participate in the greatest holy sacrament ever offered to all humankind. While this exposition is written with the intention of addressing the faith and beliefs of the devout people the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it is a message which is open to all people of every race, creed, philosophy and religion.

While the message contained in this work has the potential to convert Mormons to the Unification Church, such is not my intent. Rather, I believe that this message, which is merely a brief introduction to Reverend and Mrs. Moon's teaching and their divine calling, has the potential for giving the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints a new bright and eternal lamp of light which will enable them to fulfill the providential purpose for which Joseph Smith was called over 160 years ago. In the words of Brigham Young:

When the Gospel of the Son of God is introduced among the children of men, it comes with light and intelligence, with pure and holy principles. It embraces all morality, all virtue, all light, all intelligence, all greatness, and all goodness. It introduces a system of laws and ordinances and a code of moral rectitude which, if obeyed by the human family, will lead them back to the presence of God.2

I believe God called me to prepare this document here in upstate New York for all Mormons, not very far from where Joseph Smith received his divine appointment. I see my role as similar to that of the early followers of Joseph Smith as recounted in the Doctrine and Covenants who were given the commission to share the gospel with the Shakers:
... I give unto you a commandment that you shall go and preach my gospel which ye have received, even as ye have received it, unto the Shakers ... Wherefore, I say unto you, my servants Sidney and Parley, to preach the gospel unto them. And my servant Leman shall be ordained unto this work, that he may reason with them, not according to that which he has received of them, but according to that which shall be taught him by you my servants; and by so doing I will bless him, otherwise he shall not prosper. Thus saith the Lord; for I am God, and have sent mine Only Begotten Son into the world for the redemption of the world, and have decreed that he that receiveth him shall be saved, and he that receiveth him not shall be damned-- (D. & C. 49:1-5)

It is my earnest prayer that Latter-day Saints will humbly receive Reverend and Mrs. Moon's teaching, the Divine Principle as well as their Blessing upon eternal marriage. Part one is specifically dedicated to comparing and contrasting the Divine Principle and Mormon Doctrine with the hope that Latter-day Saints will experience both a new perspective on the teachings of Jesus Christ and an appropriate foundation and basis to understand the historic calling and mission of Reverend and Mrs. Moon by Jesus Christ, to be briefly discussed in Part Two. In the Doctrine & Covenants it says:

Behold, it is my will, that all they who call on my name, and worship me according to mine everlasting gospel, should gather together, and stand in holy places; And prepare for the revelation which is to come, when the veil of the covering of my temple, in my tabernacle, which hideth the earth, shall be taken off, and all flesh shall see me together. (D. & C. 101:22-23)

The entire contents of the Divine Principle is a revelation received by Reverend Moon and recorded by his early disciples. As with any true revelation, it is upheld in spirit and in truth by divine guidance from Heaven. In addition the Divine Principle itself, the recorded sermons and speeches of Reverend and Mrs. Moon, provide a brilliant and extensive understanding of God's Divine plan of salvation which should be carefully investigated and considered by every Mormon. Reverend and Mrs. Moon's teachings live up to the awesome standard for the plan of salvation proclaimed by Brigham Young:

For me, the plan of salvation must be a system that is pure and holy in all its points; it must reveal things that no other church or kingdom can reveal; it must circumscribe the knowledge that is upon the face of the earth, or it is not from God. Such a plan incorporates every system of true doctrine on the earth, whether it be ecclesiastical, moral, philosophical, or civil; it incorporates all good laws that have been made from the days of Adam until now; it swallows up the laws of nations, for it exceeds them all in knowledge and purity, it circumscribes the doctrines of the day, and takes from the right and the left, and brings all truth together in one system, and leaves the chaff to be scattered hither and thither. That is the proof to me, and has been from the beginning, that the principles are pure and holy; and every person living to them will attain through them sanctification.3

An exciting challenge awaits Mormons and Unificationists alike as they open the door for mutually enriching dialogue, understanding, cooperation, and fellowship in the spirit and power of Jesus Christ. Some of the custodians of the Mormon Church may feel an appeal such as this to be an affront to their religion. However, let us remember the Mormon scriptures: "Woe be unto him that shall say: We have received the word of God, and we need no more of the word of God, for we have enough! (2 Nephi 28:29)

And:

Deny not the spirit of revelation, nor the spirit of prophecy, for woe unto him that denieth these things. (D. & C. 11:25)

The revelations heralded here are true and powerful enough to usher in a new age for all humanity, named by Reverend and Mrs. Moon the "Completed Testament Age." Just as the Gospel of Jesus Christ brought the New Testament Age, the revelation of God shared by Reverend and Mrs. Moon is presented at the end of an era in desperate need of a Savior who will come to preside here on earth over the establishment of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. The words of the Mormon Apostle James Talmage speak to this inevitability and great hope of all of God's children:

In support of the doctrine that revelation especially adapted to existing conditions is characteristic of God's dealings, we have the fact of laws having been ordained, and subsequently repealed when a more advanced stage of the divine plan had been reached. Thus, the law of Moses was strictly binding upon Israel from the time of the exodus to that of Christ's ministry; but its repeal was declared by the Savior Himself, and a higher law than that of carnal commandments, which had been given because of transgression, was instituted in its stead.4

Surely many Mormons are frustrated and disillusioned with the present condition of God's chosen nation of America and the world at large as immorality and material greed possess the hearts and minds of our brethren in all walks of life. Having invested my whole heart and mind in studying and investigating the teachings of Reverend and Mrs. Moon, I am convinced that anyone who does likewise with sincere motivation and earnest prayer will profit immensely-- spiritually, morally, and eternally. In the words of America's Moses:

The Lord gives us little by little and is ever willing to give us more and more, even the fullness, when our hearts are prepared to receive all the truths of heaven. This is what the Lord desires, what he would delight in doing, for his children.5

Perhaps the greatest blessing upon Mormons everywhere is that you have had to endure great persecution and misunderstanding for your faith and convictions. For this reason, Mormons should be among the most fearless followers of Jesus Christ to investigate the teachings and join forces with the ministry of Reverend and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon-- undoubtedly the most persecuted world religious leaders of the 20th Century. Surely Mormons who feel the deep sense of shocking loss and tragedy over the murder of Joseph Smith as a young man know how Heavenly Father must have felt to see his Son crucified so maliciously almost two thousand years ago. For this reason, Mormons and Unificationists have in common a great empathy based in religious heritage and experience of how God's chosen ones have been misunderstood, mocked, tortured, and killed. In respect to the divine calling and responsibility of the First Presidency of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, this work will be submitted for their approval before it is distributed to the public. I hope and pray that you, like all Mormons who encounter and study this message, will keep this thought of Brigham Young's in mind when reading the contents herein:

The laws that the Lord has given are not fully perfect, because the people could not receive them in their perfect fullness; but they can receive a little here and a little there, a little today and a little tomorrow, a little more next week, and a little more in advance of that next year, if they make a wise improvement upon every little they receive; if they do not, they are left in the shade, and the light which the Lord reveals will appear darkness to them, and the kingdom of heaven will travel on and leave them groping. Hence, if we wish to act upon the fullness of the knowledge that the Lord designs to reveal, little by little, to the inhabitants of the earth, we must improve upon every little as it is revealed.6

Let me emphasize that this is but one very humble beginning to what I believe will come to be known as one of the pivotal occurrences in the Last Days to make the way straight for the Second Advent of Christ: the partnership in Christ of Latter-day Saints with the ministry of Reverend and Mrs. Sun Myung Moon for the establishment of the Kingdom of Heaven on earth. May God Bless You and may God Bless the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
